It’s funny how life works out sometimes. It’s been many years since my last pair of headphones died, and I never got around to replacing them. Scrolling through my daily emails, a local retailer was advertising Beats headphones on sale, and a few lovely pairs caught my eye, so I clicked through to see the prices – too high for me. Oh well, a fun goal for someday, but for now, I guess I’ll find something cheaper.

Locally, Coca Cola is running a promotion to win assorted prizes from entering codes from Coke bottle labels. I had a few tucked away from an earlier promotion, and decided to try my luck. A few spins of the prize wheel turned up nothing, then my next code – surprise! I had won a pair of Beats headphones. Beats Studio3 wireless headphones.

Two weeks later, my prize arrived in the mail. I had no idea which colour I would be sent, but when I opened the box, my Beats were in the colour Shadow Gray – my favourite colour from the Studio3 range, and one of headphones I had looked at longingly only a few weeks earlier.

A wonderful prize – something that I needed, and wanted. Now I can listen to music while exercising again, which is great motivation. I am never that lucky with competitions, so this was a very exciting and very appreciated win.
